Rob Petersen grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Washington State University.  He began playing polo in 1976.  He achieved a 2 goal rating and today is rated 0 goals.  He maintains a string of 10 horses.

Rob has a successful career as a wealth manager, having provided investment advice to individuals and institutions for more than 30 years.

Active in the Pacific Northwest Circuit, Rob has been a member of the Tacoma Polo Club and founded the Kelly Creek Polo Club.  His father-in-law, Emil deWilde, founded the Bellingham Polo Club.  Rob’s wife Linda played for 20 years, nephew Tim Rudy is a professional player, umpire and team manager, brother-in-law Larry Rudy has played for many years.

The Governor at Large position would provide another way to give back to a sport that has given so much to him, to make a meaningful contribution on behalf of the sport and the players.
